I have two favorite rappers. One goes by the name of “Dubbs The Dealer” who hails from 173rd and Vyse Ave in the Bronx. The other goes by the name of “Mean 16″ who hails from The Flatbush Side of things in Brooklyn. While Dubbs The Dealer and I Have linked back up and are about to Give Yall Something Special, My Ace Mean 16 is incarcerated in Attica. Although Mean must carry the brunt of the blame for the decision which landed him in prison once again, I blame these BITCH ASS LABEL EXECS. Mean’s lyrical ability, showmanship and pure love of hip hop went overlooked time and time again, A&R after A&R and EXEC after EXEC. According to the Labels (we will not issue specifics in regards to label names or their representatives) the only thing standing between us and our shot at telling the world our story was “A BUDGET”. The number mentioned in 4 out of 5 meetings was pretty much the same and was no small figure. We all became infatuated with getting to that number and some of us went about it in a way that some may consider irrational. With that being said, My Album BKLYN STICKUP is dedicated to Mean 16 and he is actually featured on the final somg of the album titled “Real Rap Iz Back” produced by Chicago The BHeatmaker. Mean’s verse came via phone call during his incareceration. He will be home sooner than many people wish to hear and when he returns i feel sorry for most of you “rappers”. Until then, I’ll hold it down for the “Cypha Smasher” and continue to Bury these walkin’ bodies in Rap, 2 at a time. This is The BKLYN STICKUP and My Name is Danse Daimons aka VVS 1.
